LUCIE TOURNIER-COUTURIER

Passionate about understanding the nature that surrounds us, Lucie has chosen, after a career as an Organic Engineer graduated from ESCOM and a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from the Ecole Polytechnique, to direct her career towards the research of new performance ingredients derived from living matter.

In charge of a Biotechnology laboratory within the R&D department of the Solabia group for 6 years, she then joined the L'Oréal group in 2012 to build a new research laboratory specifically dedicated to the production of new bioinspired performance ingredients.

After 5 years as head of the Biomolecules and Biotransformations Laboratory, Lucie decided to devote her research to the study of the skin microbiome, a unique scientific opportunity to imagine innovative technological solutions in the field of skin and scalp care.

At the same time, Lucie is pursuing her passion for sustainable innovation by piloting Biomim'ReFLX, L'Oréal's biomimetics programme, which is fully in line with the commitments of the "L'Oréal for the Future" programme.
