A graduate of ESCP Europe (1991), University College Dublin (1991) and Université Paris-Dauphine (1993), Olivier SCHEFFER spent 15 years developing products, startups and innovative companies in the field of information processing technologies, in particular strategic intelligence applications for major groups within Digimind (Alstom, BNP Paribas, EADS, Microsoft, Sanofi Pasteur, SCOR, Société Générale, etc.).
After a complementary training in architecture (ENSAD 2009) and a specialised Master's degree at ENSCI (2011), he joined XTU Architects (Cité du Vin, Pavillon France at Milano'15,...) where he set up the R&D department and developed, among other things, the SymBIO2 research programme (FUI15) on the integration of photobioreactors in building facades ("Biofaçades").
Very involved in the energy and environmental transition, he has been involved for several years in the development of biomimicry in France, through Biomimicry Europa and CEEBIOS.
Since June 2017, Olivier SCHEFFER has taken over the general management of the National Institute for the Energy Transition in Buildings, NOBATEK/INEF4.
