Anthony Herrel is a research director at the CNRS and works at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle in Paris where he leads the FUNEVOL team of UMR7179.
He studied biology in Belgium and then did several post-doctorates in the United States.
He has edited 4 books and written 20 book chapters and more than 400 scientific articles. His research interests include the evolution of osteomuscular systems and form-function relationships.
