We observe current events, contribute our thoughts, encourage exchanges and organise practical workshops to build innovation in a maker spirit.

We provide our members with pragmatic answers through international academic monitoring, conferences on start-ups and large groups, feedback and immersive case studies to put innovation into practice.

Pink Innov' and Biomim'expo :

Pink Innov' is delighted to announce its partnership with Biomim'expothe great gathering of biomimicry and bio-inspired innovations.

  • How does nature inspire tomorrow's innovations and provide solutions to our contemporary challenges?
  • How are all sectors affected?

Biomimicry is a real opportunity for the future, and is a fast-growing approach, at the heart of the innovation strategies of many companies, research centres and innovative businesses, because it is at the heart of the new transition underway: saving energy; producing less waste; combining growth and biodiversity; working and communicating in open, collegial systems; distorting thinking to innovate through decompartmentalized approaches, inspired by the 3.8 billion years of R&D in the living world!

Pink Innov', more than ever, is part of the process of inventing tomorrow's world with and through living organisms and participating in the exploration of biomimicry and bio-inspiration "Explains Hélène Campourcy, Founder and President of Pink Innov'.

Let's meet for this beautiful event on 20 October 2020.

CEREMA

Biomimicry: an innovative approach for resilient territories

For several years, drawing on its experience with pioneering local authorities, Cerema has been helping to develop and evolve, in partnership, methods to assist in the emergence and design of projects. In 2019, with the help of the Dreal Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes innovation laboratory, it has formalised a "Different projects" approach, which proposes 5 principles to mobilise the resources of collective intelligence and resilience for the benefit of the project.
In this spirit, it has initiated and is engaged in collaborative research-action dedicated to territorial biomimicry. The ambition is to make this trend, which is inspired by life, a new art of designing projects for resilient territories.
This action research is part of a historical moment when the issues related to climate change and the collapse of biodiversity are making us aware that we are reaching our physical, natural and biological limits, with the irreversible degradation of resources.

PROPHESIS

REVEALS THE INVISIBLE

With the world's most advanced neuromorphic vision systems, inspired by human vision and built on the foundation of neuromorphic engineering.

PROPHESEE is the revolutionary system that gives Metavision to machines, revealing what was previously invisible to them.

Prophesee is the inventor of the world's most advanced neuromorphic vision systems.

Inspired by human vision, Prophesee's technology uses a patented sensor design and AI algorithms that mimic the eye and brain to reveal what was invisible until now using standard frame-based technology.

Prophesee's machine vision systems open new potential in areas such as autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, IoT, security and surveillance, and AR/VR. One early application was in medical devices that restore vision to the blind.

Prophesee's technology is fundamentally different from the traditional image sensors - it introduces a paradigm shift in computer visionevent-based vision.

CJD

Although the CJD is the oldest employers' movement in France, it is no less young. Young in spirit, in the desire to always propose and defend new ideas. Our vision is responsible liberalism. The company is a means of bringing people together around a common project, a shared dream, in order to bring well-being to society. Since 1938, we have been convinced that the economy must be put at the service of Man. This means that we believe in ethics in the world of work, and that it is ethics that will make our companies successful. We believe in the company. We believe in the people who make it up.

For 80 years, the CJD has been an inexhaustible source of collective intelligence and has never ceased to provide answers on the ground to societal challenges, particularly in terms of employment, by providing its members, business leaders, with tools for training, exchange and experimentation.

AMELIOS

POLE-N will present two experimental pilots of an innovative economic model, bio-inspired by bee communities, called "pollination".

The challenge of this new model is to integrate the externalities of human activities, whether negative or positive, into accounting plans. This model uses a monetary operator, the CoO or Kwh saved, increased by the contributions of individuals, in the form of vouchers or discounts. The overall objective is to reduce the entropy of human activities.

OREE

ORÉE is :

  • A multi-stakeholder association with over 20 years of experience
  • A network of more than 180 committed players: companies, local authorities, professional and environmental associations, academic and institutional bodies, etc.
  • An environmental dynamic at the service of the territories

A multi-stakeholder association created in 1992, ORÉE has been federating and leading a network of committed players for over 20 years to exchange and implement an environmental dynamic at the service of the territories. Today, ORÉE brings together, supports and provides tools to a network of more than 180 members: companies, local authorities, professional and environmental associations, academic and institutional bodies, etc.

The association's work focuses on three priorities:

  • Biodiversity and the economy, or how to integrate biodiversity into the strategy of organisations,
  • Circular economy covering approaches centred on products/services/equipment (functionality economy, eco-design), sectors (recycling/recovery) and territories (industrial and territorial ecology),
  • CSR reporting and local anchoring in line with French and European regulations on the publication of non-financial information.

Contribution to Biomim'expo 2020 :

OREE proposes a workshop to combine circular economy, industrial ecology and territorial synergies:

What if you switched to recycled energy, as part of an Industrial and Territorial Ecology (ITE) approach?

    • Workshop OREE  Recovered energies reduce the demand for other energies (renewable or not) and can have a positive impact on biodiversity ... provided that the networking of sites and actors is strengthened by a global and systemic approach (rights of way, big data, transport, production and transformation units, etc.). Reconciling needs with industrial production capacities while respecting the resilience of ecosystems and monitoring impacts, ...
      • Proposed and moderated by OREE with feedback and testimonials from companies through a series of concrete examples.

MAKE SENSE

makesense inspires and equips citizens, entrepreneurs and organisations to building a more inclusive and sustainable society together.

The story:

In 2010, a group of young people decided to use their skills to help social entrepreneurs around the world make a difference. Very quickly, these global citizens connected with other citizens, all driven by the same desire to help innovative entrepreneurs to addressing societal and environmental challenges sharing their knowledge and continuing to learn along the way. makesense was born!

And with hundreds of citizens and social entrepreneurs from around the world who are committed to finding local solutions to the most pressing issues of our time, a community was born!

Collaboration with governments, authorities and local businesses was a major ingredient in the recipe. It has allowed us to tailor the best solutions to have a significant positive impact.

At the end of 2019, makesense is managed by a team of 90+ people spread over 7 offices: Paris, Mexico City, Dakar, Manila, Beirut, Lima and Abidjan.

In 2019, with the Ceebios and NewCorp Consultingmakesense has created the Biom'impact tour, first tour of France for the emergence of biomimetic projects with impact !

The tour was supported by the New Aquitaine Regionthe Southern Region, TEN and L'Oréal.
