What was the Earth like before the dinosaurs? How did the great Permian-Triassic extinction impact the evolution of species? To answer this question, J.-Sébastien travels the world in search of fossils, particularly stegocephalans. His research has been rewarded by several prizes (Palaeontological Association, Société Géologique de France, Comité National Français de Géologie, Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche) and his numerous books (e.g. "The Great Permian-Triassic Extinction") have been published.
