Vincent Artero, born in 1973, is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (class D/S 93), an associate professor of physical sciences (chemistry option) and a doctor of the Pierre and Marie Curie University.
He is currently a CEA research director and head of the SolHyCat in the Laboratory of Chemistry and Biology of Metals (Joint research unit of Grenoble Alpes University/CEA/CNRS). His research field is bio-inspired catalysis and artificial photosynthesis.
Vincent Artero heads the Labex Arcane for bio-motivated chemistry in Grenoble and has been co-directing the Solar Fuels Research Group since 2016.
He is Associate Editor of the Royal Society of Chemistry's journal Chemical Science. He was awarded the Grand Prix Mergier-Bourdeix by the Académie des Sciences in 2011 for his fundamental research at the interface between chemistry and biology and the Prix Forcheur Jean-Marie Lehn in 2018
