Cearitis provides\u00a0Biocontrol<\/strong>\u00a0to protect crops from their harmful effects.\u00a0pests<\/strong>. We are mainly interested in Diptera (flies) that threaten fruit and vegetable crops every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first mission: to fight against\u00a0olive fly<\/strong>,\u00a0Bactrocera Oleae,\u00a0<\/em>the main pest in the olive sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cearitis <\/strong>protects your crops<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The company Cearitis<\/strong> offers an innovative technology to control agricultural pests without the use of pesticides. The control strategy is based on two principles: chemical ecology<\/strong> of the pest and a system called push-pull<\/strong> \".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chemical ecology is a science specialising in the study of interactions between organisms and their physico-chemical environment<\/strong>. These attractive or repulsive interactions govern, among other things, the behaviour of ovipositors and female insects. Cearitis integrates the chemical mediators<\/strong> in a repellent system<\/strong> (push) coupled with a attractive fixed trap<\/strong> (pull) to effectively control insect pests of field crops, trees and horticultural crops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first objective is to control the olive fly, Bactrocera Oleae<\/em>the main pest of the olive tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
