Nicolas VERNOUX-THELOT

A DPLG architect since 1999, Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles. He also holds a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies (DEA) in hypermedia from the University of Paris VIII.

He began his professional activity abroad, working for international agencies, notably Eisenman Architects in New York, and then for six years he worked as a freelancer in Paris. His work is regularly published in various magazines and he is invited to participate in several exhibitions.

In order to broaden his field of action, he founded the IN SITU architecture agency in 2008 and developed a multidisciplinary approach between architecture and landscape that favours contextualised and environmental thinking focused on the body, its perception and its feeling.

Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot was the winner of the Tokyo Designer Week international professional competition in 2003. In 2008, he took part in the "Composites" exhibition organised by the CAUE 92 and in 2010, he won the Public Prize for Contemporary Architecture in the Paris Metropolis, in the "individual house" category.

In 2016, Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot received the European 40 under 40 architects award from the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot will be speaking at Biomim'expo 2020 to present the beautiful, bio-inspired Nianing church in Senegal, which has been hailed by the press and the profession through numerous nominations for international awards.
